We will have great interactive activities that you won’t want to miss!
Here are a few of the details!
Peggy Sagers, creator of Silhouette Patterns, helped us open the LA ASG Chapter ten years ago and she joins us again to celebrate!
After breakfast, Peggy will start at 10:00 am to teach us fitting using the three methods of diagnosing and correcting issues: Length, Circumference, and Depth. To help us understand how most fitting issues are addressed by these three measures, she will show us this with our own ASG volunteers!
Yes, you have an opportunity to get a personal fitting by Peggy!
For this portion of the program, we want 4 or 5 women to come ready with their muslin for a personal fitting. Those that are chosen will be part of the presentation. Peggy will fit the muslins while demonstrating Length, Circumference, and Diameter! So, in addition to attending the event, you can solve your personal fitting issues while helping everyone else learn! We are asking for 4 or 5 volunteers who can commit to bring a Silhouette pattern based muslin for a personal fitting.
The guidelines are:
Peggy will also discuss upcoming Fall Fashion Trends: What she sees coming as far as fashion for the fall and how we can get a jump start on our fall sewing. She will be happy to identify the base Silhouette Pattern that can be used with variations to create the fall silhouettes.
But wait, that’s not all!
In the afternoon, we will be having a casual fashion show with limited moderation. This is an opportunity to show off your Silhouette pattern creations. Wear your outfit and tell us about any creative changes you included or challenges that you overcame! There will be a prize for most imaginative innovation or interpretation of a Silhouette pattern. Please inspire us with your creations! Please let us know by March 30, 2018 if you plan on participating in the fashion show.
Special Guest Speaker: Peggy Sagers
Peggy Sagers has a BS degree in Fashion Merchandising/Fashion Design. She has her own pattern line, Silhouette Patterns, which are the only patterns with exclusive B, C, and D cup sizing to create the perfect fit in both cup size and length.
